Toronto Sunset 2021

Toronto Sunset 2021 is a series urban painting record GTA lockdown during 2020 to 2021 winter period. Due to COVID-19, people need to stay home to avoid social contact and virus spread. Sunset, the time people used to get off work and go home, the most heavy traffic time suddenly empty and quiet down. Nobody wait in the bus stop, nobody step on the sidewalk. That painter intends to show the quiet loneliness sunset view of the isolated neighborhood during lockdown. Special thanks to my friend Jimmy Xie, his comment about lockdown Toronto “My city dead” inspire me to do these series for sharing the impression and feeling of current period by art.
